Finger Lakes Wine Country
The Finger Lakes wine region is the largest and most diverse wine-producing region in New York State, with over 100 wineries and 11,000 acres of vineyards. The region is renowned for its world-class Riesling and other cool-climate wines, such as Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. The region's unique terroir and microclimate are shaped by the glacially carved lakes and rolling hills that offer stunning scenery and ideal growing conditions. The region also boasts four official wine trails - Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, Keuka Lake Wine Trail, Seneca Lake Wine Trail and Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail - that offer visitors a chance to taste, tour and explore the wineries and their stories.
