Letchworth State Park, the “Grand Canyon of the East”

Letchworth State Park features a spectacular gorge carved by the Genesee River, with three major waterfalls and up to 600 foot cliffs. You can enjoy breathtaking views of the natural beauty from various overlooks on the trails and bridges, or experience the thrill of whitewater rafting, kayaking or hot-air ballooning.

The park is home to the Glen Iris Inn, the former residence of William Pryor Letchworth, who donated his estate to the state in 1906. You can also visit the Humphrey Nature Center, which offers year-round environmental education programs and interactive exhibits.
